This is another non Chang Jiang bike we build a sidecar for. It’s a new Triumph Bonneville to which we added an all steel Donghai sidecar.
The bike was in California, and we are of course in Beijing. So customizing this bike was quite a challenge for us, as everything has to be easily mounted to the bike without welding or cutting.
We fabricated a steel sub frame that is bolted to the Triumph frame. We then shipped the sub frame, mounts, and sidecar to the customer and he was able to bolt it up in a day.
Before we ship the sidecar, we painted it in our paint shop for a uniform color with the bike.
The Dong Hai factory is a PLA contractor that use to build military sidecars. Few of its high-quality sidecars made to the market. We are lucky to have some of those sidecars.
